Seems like we led these fellows just two days ago with their trip to Kearsarge North. This time it was a two-day hike with an overnight stay at Galehead Hut. On this adventure the team, led by Redline Guide Ken Hodges, ascended North Twin Mountain crossing Little River before the forecast rains fell. After steadily climbing up the mountain they summited the north peak then headed over to South Twin Mountain before heading down Twin Way to Frost Trail and Galehead Hut for two hots and a bunk.
In the morning the team had originally planned to hike up Galehead Mountain for sunrise and the summit, then head back down for breakfast. As it turned out, however, the hut was socked-in in the morning so they woke up, flipped the script, eating breakfast first, then headed up Galehead for the summit. Upon their return they took Gale River Trail down the mountain to an awaiting car. Here are a few photos…
