The other day an oft-returning guest told us during a phone call that he really enjoyed hiking with Redline Guide Chase Hall. Also a “Gridder” like Chase — hiking all of the 48 every month of the year — our guest feels that Chase gets him, he’s taking the same medication, so to speak, making him an ideal companion on such an enormous undertaking. Chase provided the following summary and photo.
It was an awesome day to hike the Southern Presidentials. A returning guest reached out looking for some help with getting Monroe, Eisenhower, and Pierce. The Southern Presidentials are some of the best summits in the entire White Mountain National Forest.
When you have views your hike’s going to be slow because you just want to soak up every mile and take all the photos you want. Today was that day. The views today were outstanding on every summit you just saw something brand new. This was a perfect spring hike with perfect temps and enough time in the sun before it was time to head down and finish the hike before the afternoon rain (which never came). —Chase
