It’s that time of the year, adding pumpkin spice to our hikes by going for something Terrifying. In this case, for this returning guest, this round was for the Huntington Ravine Trail (all the way to the Auto Road so it counts). The team traversed the Alpine Garden Trail to Lion Head which is the route they took down back to Tux. Leading was Redline Guide Debra McCown. Her comments and photos follow…
With summer-like weather and fall leaves at peak under blue skies and sunshine, we couldn’t have picked a better day for Huntington Ravine Trail. This returning guest picked the scrambly slab route because he’s working on the ‘Terrifying 25’ hiking list — and this one is known for being the hardest on the list. And he met the challenge with both confidence and patience — and he crushed it! —Debra
