Ammo Again, Please

And quickly if we can. Like the following week. Friday, please. The forecast did appear to enter a stable period around the time, so it was a go. It being an attempt on Mt Washington (FAQs). On lead with it was Redline Guide Chase Hall. The how-to was also specified. Our guest had climbed the mountain within the past year on the western approach using the Ammonoosuc Ravine/Jewell Trails and he wanted to do that very hike again. To see how he felt and how he fared, and how it compared to his last go.

What follows are a few photos of the day. But first, Chase shared these sentiments:

I guided a guest up Mt. Washington. As we hiked up the Ammo Trail my guest and I saw the old steam engine in the distance bring up the first riders of the day to the summit. We got to Lakes of the Clouds in good time and refilled our water at the Hut. We saw a ton of hikers at the hut, all ready to go hike up the Rock Pile. The summit was in full summer mode, the line to take your picture was 30 people deep, the most crowded that I’d seen in a long time. Hikers, Cog riders, and car riders were all enjoying their time on the summit. My guest noted it’s still a very tough mountain to climb. —Chase
