Many of our guests complete our two-day program with a near-summit of Mt Washington, happy nonetheless stoked by witnessing truly crazy weather. The mountain’s an ill-tempered character and it yells at us kids to get off its lawn. It’s an experience. On some days, however, if you tread lightly and think good thoughts, the old man sleeps. The kids scamper freely.
This was one of those days. One might say it was even too nice. One of our guests came to us for a second time having summited the mountain previously, but due to scheduling at the time he stood upon the peak just outside of winter. He wanted another crack at it so he grabbed a buddy and came back to us. The team summited again. In winter this time — though we use the word lightly. On mountain, winter or no, it was calm, sunny, and warm. On lead for this trip was Redline Guide Mike Maciel. He offered these photos of the day.
