The act of hiking does wonderful things for the body, the mind, and the soul. Likewise, spending time above treeline pretty much anywhere along the Presidential Range also does wonderful things for the body, the mind, and the soul. Couple these acts and it becomes pretty easy to burst into superlatives. It’s a joyous thing to hike this hike, this “Classic” Madison to Pierce Presidential Range Traverse. And when everything just falls into place, it becomes sublime. Here’s what the guest Redline Guide Phoebe Seltzer just led on one such single day effort had to say about it:
Just a quick note after dinner and before climbing into bed, I had to let you know that today’s experience was all that I had hoped for. It did take us a while to complete the traverse, which was just fine as I am injury-free and totally happy with how everything went. Phoebe was a delight to run and hike with; her knowledge of the Whites in general and the Presidentials in particular is amazing. Thanks for providing just the experience that I had in mind at the outset, and I really appreciate the great weather you provided. —Our Guest
Should we tell him we just got lucky on the weather? Check out these photos, provided by both guest and guide. Thank you!
