Training Team Baker

In preparation for their attempt on Mt Baker this June, our Baker Team got in some necessary training. All have had winter skills and mountaineering skills training so next on their list was to attend our Glacier Skills course (next one for them will be an on-mountain refresher). In addition to the day-long course led by Redline Guide Mike Cherim, the team also underwent a shakedown hike into King Ravine with Redline Guide Ryan Mcguire. Unfortunately, due to extreme cold and wind, they opted to not venture up the headwall and onto the ridge, instead they turned around exiting via the trail they broke out on the way it. Nonetheless, the experience was awesome. We were seriously impressed on how well the various personalities on the team got along. We think they are going to be an awesome team with a great chance of summit success. The dynamic is there.

Great weekend! Well done guides and Team Baker. Thanks for choosing Redline Guiding.
