A new guest came to us looking for someone to hike Mt Eisenhower with. She’s working on her 48. During the planning part of this adventure a new summit was added for day two, namely Mt Hale. Leading this trip was Redline Guide Rhonda Willette. What follows is her two-part summary along with photos from both hikes.
Wednesday was hot and muggy, the kind of day where the best place to be was above 4000 feet. The cooler air on the summit was a welcome reward after the hot climb up Eisenhower. —Rhonda
Day One: Eisenhower

Day Two: Hale
Thursday was a little cooler and we enjoyed the occasional breeze as we climbed to the summit of Hale. The mushrooms were everywhere, popping in every color and shape. Our guest enjoyed her back‑to‑back days checking off two more of NH 48 4000 footers. —Rhonda
