Isolation for 44

A returning couple working on their 48 4000-footers wanted to break up their most recent hiking trip by grabbing Mt Isolation over a two day period, instead of one. To do this they reached their Wilderness tent site, lightened their loads, and proceeded to grab the summit. This was wise. They were really new to backpacking so there would be a chance of not getting a normal amount of sleep. Doing the heavier lifting on day one, they put the groundwork in place for a more comfortable exit on day two. Leading the couple was Redline Guide Brian McElwee. The following summary and media were furnished by him.

We made a successful summit bid at Mount isolation, deciding to do it on day one. We overnighted at the tent site located on the isolation Trail just before to the Davis Path intersection. Excellent spot. This was only their second time tenting, so they feel like they learned a lot and are super happy. One member of the party developed a sore hip due to a prior injury so the hiking was a bit slower, but we made it up by mid-afternoon and same on the return. Very happy guests! —Brian
