Crack in the Weather

You’ve probably heard of crack climbing, using fissures in the rock to climb and protect a route. We’re going to take that meaning, however, and twist it to suit our narrative. In this case the crack was in the weather as well as in a thin space on the clock. Our guests, a returning couple who normally climb in a gym, were driving up from New York on the morning of the event. Today was the day! It was nice. Not too hot, not too cool. And not raining… yet. On lead for this day of rock climbing was Redline Guide Will Murphy. To avoid rain, or at least delay its presence, Will decided on taking the couple to Jockey Cap, a prominent crag in Fryeburg, Maine. Here are some photos.

Great job, team. To our couple, thanks for adventuring with Redline Guiding!
