Every time Redline Guide and New Hampshire Justice of the Peace Mike Cherim officiates a wedding at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH, he comes away with two impressions: One is that the weather, while beautiful, is seemingly always hot — barring that one time — (yes, he does suppose it’s merely a coincidence) and, two; it’s a really great venue!
Of all the built-up summits that provide access to non-hiking wedding guests, Loon Mountain really shines. For instance, though while not in the same category as Mt Washington or even Cannon, for that matter, the views from the seating and altar areas provided on Loon are pretty amazing nonetheless. The gondola-accessible venue shines in other ways, too. For example, there’s a lookout tower at the top, a trail to a high elevation pond, even some “glacial caves” to explore (though wedding attire is unsuitable for this). And if that isn’t already enough to pique your interest, check it out: there is a bar/cafeteria up there so that the wedding party may stay fed and hydrated.
After a rehearsal on June 24, the couple tied the knot the very next day with Mike officiating. A small group of family from both sides of the aisle looked on during the unplugged event. And felt by all, and also honored with a moment of silence, were loved ones that could only attend in spirit. Overall the event was warm, meaningful, heartfelt, and quite beautiful. The couple agreed and shared these sentiments:
[We] want to say thank you so much for your role in our special day! You did an amazing job. Every single person told us how perfect you were and how beautiful the ceremony was. Even when the timeline changed a bit, you didn’t skip a beat and you brought amazing energy. We couldn’t have asked for a better ceremony and we couldn’t have done it without you (clearly!).
Thank you so much! Any friends getting married in the area we will be sure to recommend you!
