Posted in a weird reverse order, the other day we told you about a family we led on a Mountain Pond Loop hike mentioning at the time that one member preceded that trip with a jaunt up the 6288′ Mt Washington (our biggest “4000-footer“) and that we’d be posting about it eventually. That time is now. This trip was led by Redline Guide Nico Dubois. Nico always gets good reviews from our guests and of course we appreciate that. Nico is also a professional photographer so some of the photos he gives us are pretty exceptional (see below the quoted text).
Super quick day, started at about 7:30, Lakes by 9:30, summit at 10:30, and base again by 1PM. [Our guest] recently ran a marathon, and quickly wanted to take over the pace and push himself, so I let him, and he crushed it. Beautiful weather, wind and below freezing windchill…
Shelter at the top of Washington was well appreciated for sure. —Nico
Good lead, Nico (though it sounds like you got to draft our guest). Thanks for adventuring with Redline Guiding.
