A private father-son hiking team on Mt Washington made the summit and were thinking of hiking down, but they came prepared for an alternate option using the Cog Railway for the descent. And this is what they opted for. The weather up on the Rock Pile was interesting (as noted in another post). It was windy, foggy, and exciting. No roasting in the sun, and the winds kept flying critters at bay. These are preferred conditions to many of us in the guide world. Long views aren’t necessary (or practical), especially when standing there actually in that environment. Leading this private tour was Redline Guide Debra McCown. The father soon team denied photos permissions, but we can show you some of cool stuff they got to experience.
