Imagine hiking Mt Washington in the winter and having someone open a frozen door and inviting you inside when you arrive at the summit — instead of having to rush off because it’s getting cold during a 10-15 minute break. Further, let’s imagine they ask you to stay a while, give you a tour, inform and educate you about the mountain’s crazy weather, feed you a couple of meals, then put you up for the night, but first heading out briefly to witness the setting sun. To continue this fantasy, you awake in the morning and get to witness the rising sun before breakfast, after which you linger for a bit before enjoying a more leisurely hike back down the mountain. 🥾 Non-Technical Route for 2026…
This year’s trip is going to ascend and descend via a non-technical, non-mounataineering hiking route — probably the Ammonoosuc Ravine and/or Jewell Trails — making this trip more accessible to more people. Leading will be Redline Guides Mike Maciel and Chase Hall.
😴 No Extended Stay Security Deposit…
We are no longer requiring a security deposit in case weather forces an unlikely trip extension. Added days will be billed, if needed, after the fact. For those who already signed up and paid a deposit, we will be adjusting your balance due accordingly.
