A large group of friends — second year students from Harvard University — was interested in enjoying some free time in the White Mountain National Forest (WMNF) over the holiday weekend. One in the group had an older friend who was willing to rent a vehicle and join the group. In fact, they had him organize the activities. One thing on their list was to do a half-day hike in hopes on taking in some views and foliage. It was he that reached out to us to arrange said hike. After giving the request some thought, Redline Guide Mike Cherim decided Boulder Loop Trail would be a hit (and it was). From the ledges one can peer into an area that seems to hold foliage well. And it did this time, too, though like the rest of the WMNF, the colors lacked vibrancy but there were still trees offering red, orange, and yellow leaves. The day was warm in the sun, and beautiful, but it started on a cool side. Hiking up quickly allowed everyone to quickly the shrug off he chill. What follows are some photos of the hike. Due to photo permissions no faces are visible, but we were able to show the group at a distance and from behind.
