We have guided our guests on all of the 4000-footers on multiple occasions, but some have been requested more than the rest. The northern Presidentials, for example. Additionally Isolation, the Bonds, and Owls Head are requested quite often. This trip, hinted at in the title, was for the Owl. Leading this trip was Redline Guide Chase Hall. What follows is his summary of the tour along with a few photos of the day. Do be sure to stay tuned as we should be seeing the conclusion of this guest’s efforts very, very soon!
What a beautiful day to grab a summit. Owls Head was in great shape. My guest is now two summits away from completing his own 48 4000-footers list. I loved the reaction from he gave when he reached the summit; it was pure excitement. ‘That’s it, all that work for this? I should have started with this instead of waiting till the end!‘ I laughed out loud. It was so fun to hear someone’s first reaction of grabbing Owls Head. A lot of work for a small pile of rocks in the woods. Congratulations on grabbing your 46th summit! —Chase
