We’ve been asked by people if they can hike with their dog. We’re mostly okay with that. We’ve never been asked about having a bunny rabbit along, until this trip. A pet rabbit that hikes 4000-footers. Who knew?! And that wasn’t the only unusual aspect to this adventure — a hike to Owl’s Head led by Redline Guide Mike Maciel. The trip was funded by another party; an angel. You see, there were certain challenges. Ones we can’t get into on this public space, but some hikes are more earned than others and that this one is high on that list. By the numbers, it was our guest’s tenth GRID month (hiking all the 4000-footers in every month of the year, though not necessarily in a single year). It was also her son’s 46th 4000-footer, of the 48 peaks in New Hampshire. What follows is a short photo-compilation video of the day.
