A couple from Illinois reached out to us hoping to ski something in the backcountry, particularity on Mt Washington as that is what most people are aware of. One skier was pretty new to the sport so we didn’t want to do something too crazy, while to the other skier was clearly seasoned so we didn’t want to do something too easy either. Redline Guide Dominic Torro decided the Gulf of Slides would be a good fit. And since that bomb cyclone everyone south of us was reeling from missed hitting us, conditions were stable. Dominic told us it was a great day. Sunny but really quite windy chilling things a bit. They stayed warm enough, though, and had some fun nonetheless.
