She’s working on her winter 48 and Mt Washington was on her list so she reached out to us for assistance. She was interested in not just summiting the mountain but in also being further introduced to comprehensive winter skills and dipping her toe into the wild sport of mountaineering, both part of our Two Day Winter Mt Washington Program. The latter not just for the Rock and Ice Pile here in New Hampshire, but for something much grander down the road: Denali in Alaska — the tallest mountain in North America — someday. For now it’s a work in progress, but it’s work worth doing. On the job were Redline Guides Pat Ferland and Glenn Van Neil. Pat took lead on the first day, and Glenn led her up the mountain the following day. Here are some photos.
