A couple of fellows from Canada reached out with intention of climbing some steep snow in the ravines on Mt Washington. They were asking that the guide meet them at the trailhead then, after a successful day of climbing, dropping them off at the Harvard Cabin for the night while the guide headed back down. This plan, as we learned, was going to undergo a metamorphosis. The first change was to add a second day with the hopes of getting in some ice climbing with their mountaineering. The next change was to revert back to a single day of climbing, but on a different medium: instead of steep snow, the duo opted for a single day of ice in Crawford Notch. That’s what they ended up doing, with Redline Guide Glenn Van Neil leading. The day was on the wet side so photos are limited, but we did get these shots…
