We were contacted by a South Korean photography student focusing on documentary imagery. She was visiting New York City but wanted to spend a few days up here in the New Hampshire mountains. She reached out to us wanting to try snowshoeing. We were given only a day’s notice but Redline Guide Mike Cherim was able to lead her on a small half day adventure. She wanted a fairly relaxed sunset tour and these requirements actually helped facilitate it. For several reasons it was decided that Hurricane Mountain Road and an attempt on Black Cap would be a good fit. She did really great for her first time and the team actually made it part way up the Black Cap Trail before calling it. In-bound snow and cloud cover spoiled any chance of a dramatic sunset and making it to the summit would have taken too long. That said, it was a fun experience with zero regrets. Here are a few photos.
