A new guest reached out from Texas hoping to have a bit of a holiday up here in New Hampshire. The attractions included hiking a mountain, some sightseeing, and seeing some of our foliage as it passes from one season to the next. Originally we were going to hike something in Randolph on day one, but due to time constraints we opted for something closer and ended up on South Doublehead — one of those 52 With a View peaks). Doing this would also offer us better colors.
This visit was to be a two-day adventure with Redline Guiding with day two offering our guest a more relaxed waterfall/scenic road “tourist tour.” Both days being led by Redline Guide Mike Cherim. What follows are some photos of day one.
