For every ending, a new story begins. This is one such case. Redline Guide Debra McCown had recently helped someone finish their 48. No sooner had the celebration ended when another guest came to us with the same agenda. Not new to us, per se, a retuning guest, but the numbers are being checked off anew. This week’s guest was super excited to complete #9, #10, and #11 of her New Hampshire 48! The Tripyramids were high on her list and seemed a bit daunting for her typical hiking pace. But we started early, and we got ’em done! The weather was a perfect blend of cool, fall air and sunshine through the trees.
She also had a great opportunity to build her confidence on scrambly rocks, both there and on Mt Jackson, which she completed in chilly, windy weather earlier in the week. Next up on her agenda this fall (planned in a few weeks) are Garfield, Zealand, and the Bonds. —Debra
