One of our claims to fame are our “companion hikes.” Unlike finding an untested buddy on Facebook or on Meetup, or hiking with a mis-matched group, we offer a custom solution. With one of our professional guides the day is all about you and your needs. Your pace, your objective, your list. In this case a guest came to us hoping for a companion/guide during a Zealand-Bonds Traverse. She just didn’t want to solo such a big hike. This is where we came in putting Redline Guide Eric Hansen on with her. The plan was to have Eric meet our guest at Zealand Hut and begin the traverse from there. What follows is a short summary from Eric along with a bunch of photos of the day.
Stellar day for a Zealand-Bonds traverse with our guest. Met her at the hut and we left just after breakfast. A little hazy on the day but still all the views were popping, everyone we met on trail pleased as punch. Temps were comfortable and trail conditions dry. She hiked strong all day, fueled and hydrated well, finished late afternoon after a very satisfying hike. Locked and loaded for her next and final NH48 finisher hike on Madison/Adams in a few weeks! —Eric
