A returning guest and her small cadre of hiking friends, family, and canines wanted to cross off a few more 4000-footers over a two-day period and reached out. The requested peaks included North and Middle Tripyramid on day one and Mt Osceola on day two, both hikes in the more southerly Sandwich Range. Our guests also requested the same guides as last time, impressed with their time with them before. Specifically they requested Redline Guides Debra McCown (day one) and Chase Hall (day two).
Originally the team consisted of three guests but somehow the group doubled in size as the date got closer. Added were three more people and the two dogs, both “schnoodles,” for a total of six humans and two furry, four-legged kids. We almost had a seventh person join but we had to reject this request for safety reasons. We prefer a max ratio of one guide for every four guests. We were in the 11th hour and with six people already we were short on guides for this popular weekend so we had to stick to a ration of 1:6+2. As it turned out, everyone had a great time and a second guide each trip wasn’t needed, thankfully, but we want to be ready.
