A Tale of Two Camps

Over the past couple of years we have led the wonderful staff and youth campers at Camp TelNoar on hiking adventures and exploration. Happy with our service, not only did they come back for a third season, this year they referred us one of their other camps, Camp Tevya. They told them how much fun they had during seasons one and two. Needless to say, we’re stoked to be considered.

This year, because there are two camps, we spread out the fun over two days. Day one was with the folks at Camp Tevya and day two was with the folks at Camp TelNoar. The objective for both days was to hike Mt Willard of the 52 With a View list. This mountain was selected due to the number of hikers, their want of hiking together in one big group, and our desire to use impacted areas with already high traffic. It really works great. In the case of Camp TelNoar spending a full day with us (versus a half day), we added a few other mini hikes (Saco Lake, Elephant Head) to wind down, so to speak.

Leading on this trip were Redline Guides Chase Hall, Debra McCown, Gregg Ludvigson, Tim Jones, and Mike Cherim. We did have one other show up briefly to roar at the staff and campers… this, of course, being Debra in her now-well-known Tyrannosaurus rex costume. The campers and staff loved it.

What follows are some photos, taken by Gregg, Debra, and Mike, from both days.

Day One: Camp Tevya

Day Two: Camp TelNoar

To the guides, staff, and campers: great job, one and all. And to the Cohen Camps, thank you for selecting Redline Guiding!
