A now-returning guest who had hiked Mt Washington with Redline Guide Chase Hall last year came to us looking to take on the northern loop on Franconia Ridge — you know, the one involving Falling Waters, Franconia Ridge, Greenleaf, and Old Bridle Path trails (the loop we’re going to do by the light of the moon on August 23rd). This famed loop isn’t the only thing our guest selected. She also requested Chase lead her again. This isn’t uncommon for our guides — they’re awesome at what they do and leave a fine impression on our guests. They should be pretty proud of themselves. To be requested by a guest is a pretty strong compliment. For more good vibes, check out this guest-generated Reel on Instagram. We love it. She was apparently “on top of the world.”
A returning guest specifically requested me for a hike along the Franconia Ridge, and I was thrilled to take on the assignment. Franconia Ridge is one of my favorite places. Despite it being the hottest day I’ve experienced in New Hampshire, I couldn’t have been happier to be out on the trail—sharing one of my favorite spots with a guest. The ridge is a special place. —Chase
