Most of the group was up from Rhode Island, except one who hailed from Massachusetts. In a nutshell it was a friends and family group coming together for an outdoor adventure. Specifically they came up to the Mt Washington Valley to get some basic winter skills and some mountaineering skills training on day one while taking on Mt Washington on day two. Our pretty standard two-day offering. They didn’t hit the summit-summit but settled for Lion Head. This was due to timing and pace, but the mountain was ready to allow it if they wanted it, though they would need to “boogie.” That said, according to Redline Guide Glenn Van Neil, they all had a great time, they stayed safe, and are ready to return to try again at a later date. And that, above all else, is the point.
