The title identifies the objectives of our oft-returning guest working on his GRID (hiking all those 4ks every month of the year), but the order differs in that Redline Guide Chase Hall and guest started with North Twin. They then traversed over to South Twin before dropping down the Devil’s Staircase (yeah, we just made up that name) to go for the much shorter Galehead. This was smart. They took on the potentially dangerous crossing while fresh, and had a less eventful exit hike to contend with. The hike was an awesome one — it’s great time of year — the colors are browning and dulling a bit but still pretty as you’ll see in the photos.
