Previously, the team opted for Owls Head due to high winds being forecast for Mt Washington. On this trip the opposite was the case so our GRIDing guest and Redline Guide Chase Hall put the Rock Pile back on the schedule and successfully summited the mountain. What follows is a brief summary along with photos of their hiking adventure.
What a stretch of beautiful weather with blue bird skies. I led a guest to the Mt Washington summit via Tuckerman Ravine Trail. It was a rewarding trip with every mile. The conditions for a Washington summit were next to perfect. Eight mile-per-hour winds were reported on the mountain when our guest made it around lunchtime. The summit was pretty busy with fall on lookers trying to capture the last few weeks of summer. The leave are just starting to change. It was beautiful. —Chase
