Wedding on Loon

Amanda & Brian – Married July 20, 2019

We knew it the day before at the hot and humid rehearsal that the wedding day was going to be likewise hot and humid, even atop the 3065-foot Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH (the “Exit 32”). The United States, the entire globe actually, was in the grip of a significant heat wave. Wedding guests from Massachusetts informed Redline Guide, owner, and Justice of the Peace, Mike Cherim, that triple digit temps for were forecast for their town and that they were grateful it was only in the 90s on the mountain. We were all grateful for the occasional breezes.

The wedding was scheduled for 4:30pm so things were naturally starting to cool down. The whole ceremony was actually more comfortable than anticipated. Everyone was looking sharp, smiles all around; the gentlemen dashing, the women lovely — nobody appeared to be sweating it. Not even the bride and groom. They were at ease, having taken eight years to get to this day. They were simply making something which already existed official.

This wasn’t a hike-up wedding, but it was still a mountain top wedding. Loon Mountain offers gondola access and there are some cool things to see on the mountain once up there. This formal wedding was well documented for the couple by videographers and photographers, and we did manage to grab a couple of photos, posted here with permission.

Pretty day, just really hot and humid.

The mountain has done this sort of thing before.

Really pretty setup.

Here comes the bride, ushered by her father.

Not long after, Amanda and Brian depart as husband and wife.

Congratulations Amanda and Brian! Thank you for the honor!
